WASHINGTON, June 29 (APP)- IFC, a member of the World Bank, Deutsche Bank and Bank AL Habib Limited Pakistan on Monday announced a new trade financing deal that will allow import of equipment for a new wind power plant to help boost Pakistan's generation of clean energy.


UN official voices concern after report reveals children bear brunt of Afghan conflict -
UNITED NATIONS, June 27 (APP): Last year saw more children killed or  maimed in Afghanistan since monitoring of those statistics began in 2007, reflecting that "children are bearing the brunt of the conflict," according to United Nations UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon's latest  report on children and armed conflict in that strife-torn country.

MAKKAH, May 30 (APP): Secretary Ministry of Religious Affairs Chaudhry Mohammed Azam held a meeting with Chairman Moassasah for South Asian Haj Pilgrims Adnan Katib here on Wednesday and discussed Haj arrangements. The Secretary Religious Affairs who was on a visit to Saudi Arabia, held meetings with Saudi officials to review Haj arrangements for Pakistani pilgrims. The delegation also inspected the buildings hired for Pakistani Hujjaj. During the visit, Secretary Ministry of Religious Affairs held in depth meetings with Director General Hajj Syed Abu Aakif, Director Haj Rafeo Shah and Deputy Director Haj Madinah Munawarrah Umar Farooq.
