"Love song to Earth" released to inspire action at UN climate conference -
UNITED NATIONS, Sept 5 (APP): Internationally renowned artists have released a song urging world leaders to reach a global agreement during the United Nations climate conference in December to limit the impacts of climate change.


Pakistan takes issue of Indian ceasefire violations to UN Security Council -
UNITED NATIONS, Sept 5 (APP): Pakistan has urged the U.N. Security Council to "take notice" of the escalating incidents of firing by Indian troops across the Line of Control in the disputed Kashmir region and the Working Boundary in which a large number of civilians have been killed and injured, it was officially stated Friday.


Pakistani general appointed force commander of UN mission in Western Sahara -
UNITED NATIONS, Sept 4 (APP): United Nations Secretary-General BAN  Ki-moon Friday announced the appointment of Pakistani Major General Muhammad Tayyab Azam, who is currently Inspector General of the Frontier Corps,  as the Force Commander of the United Nations Mission for the Referendum in Western Sahara (MINURSO).



Pakistan welcomes joint ventures with Bosnia in power, construction sectors: President -

UNITED NATIONS, Sept 4 (APP): The UN General assembly is set to adopt a resolution next week that would allow the Palestinian flag to be raised at the gates of United Nations building in time for Palestine Mahmoud Abbas' visit to New York, the Palestinian representative to the United Nations Riyad Mansour said Thursday.

Book on history of Pak Jr cricket launched PDF Print E-mail
LAHORE, May 30 (APP)- A book titled “ History of Pakistan Junior cricket “ has been launched to provide an indepth analysis and study of the junior cricket in Pakistan. The book compiled by Pakistan Cricket Board’s manager logistics, Maqsood Ahmad Khan focuses on Pak jr cricket from 1968 till today and provides and ample material about yesteryears who progressed from their teens to become stars. The photographs selected in the book are very valuable and show case the efforts for putting together the history of junior level cricket. “ It is the first ever book on Pak jr cricket and tells about the U19 cricket records “,said Maqsood while talking to APP here on Wednesday.
