PTI rally outshines PML-N show PDF Print E-mail
LAHORE, Oct 30 (APP): Over one hundred thousand people including men, women, youth and children gathered at the historic Minar-e-Pakistan to join Imran Khan in his bid to dethrone Sharifs from the Takhat-e-Lahore here Sunday.According to the initial statistics of independent observers, about 100,000 people had poured in from all parts of Lahore as well as other cities despite the Punjab government’s efforts to restrict PTI workers from reaching the venue of the PTI public meeting.
The attendance at the PTI rally was different from the PML-N Friday’s rally since people had come to the rally on their own accord and without any official patronage.
People reached the PTI rally venue on foot despite the Punjab government’s move to cease all public transport in the provincial metropolis.
People were still pouring in to the procession two hours beyond the scheduled time of 4:00 pm.
