900 Khuddam-ul-Hujjaj living in Saudi Arabia to be hired |

ISLAMABAD, July 19 (APP): Services of around 900 Khuddam-ul-Hujjaj living in Saudi Arabia will be hired to provided better services to intending pilgrims.An official of Ministry of Religious Affairs told APP that Pakistan Hajj mission desires to outsource the management of local Khuddam-ul-Hujjaj, Arabic speaking Pakistani individuals, who reside in Saudi Arabia.Efforts are underway to involve Pakistani community in Saudi Arabia for voluntary services in Mashair, free of cost, with the spirit of rendering services to their Pakistani brethren, he said.Director General (Hajj) has been requested to collect the data of Pakistani community and persuade the volunteers for welfare of hajj pilgrims.
Nominations from PAF, Pakistan Navy, Boy Scouts and Civilian Armed Forces have been received and are being processed. Deployment will be chalked out in consultation with the Director, Khuddam-ul-Hujjaj.
Pakistan Army has shown its inability to send nomination of Khuddam and alternatives are being explored.
Standard operating procedure (SOP) for seasonal staff and its selection has been issued and nominations of 100 people from other Ministries/Divisions and Provincial departments have been invited in light of the quota.
He said automated complaint registration system will also be developed to redress grievances and improve welfare services of Pakistani Hujjaj during Hajj.
