Injured journalist Shafiullah Khan lost battle for life |

PESHAWAR June 17 (APP): Shafiullah Khan, trainee reporter Daily The News Peshawar on Friday succumbed to his critical wounds received during a deadly suicide blast at Khyber Super Market in cantonment area few days ago. Shafiullah Khan, who remained under treatment at local hospital since Saturday blast at the busy market in Cantonment, was declared dead by doctors on Friday.
He received multiple wounds in body and remained at Intensive Care Unit Wah Cantt in unconscious condition.
The victim journalist belonged to village Plangzai in North Waziristan and had joined Daily The News Peshawar as trainee reporter in 2011.
He did his master degree in journalism from Gomal University and associated with a private new agency also.
It may be recalled that journalists Asfandyar Khan and Saifullah Khan along with 40 people have been perished and 100 others persons injured in powerful suicide blast that ripped through the crowd gathered in front of Lal Hotel after cylinder blast at Khyber Supper Market on late Saturday.
The body of slain journalist is being shifted to his native village Plangzai North Waziristan where he would laid to rest at his ancestral graveyard.
