Cricket: Rain delays Pakistan’s clash with Scotland
EDINBURGH, May 19, (APP/AFP) - Pakistan’s one-day international against Scotland was delayed on Sunday due to a waterlogged playing surface in Edinburgh. The umpires ordered a 1200GMT pitch inspection at the Grange after taking a close look at the wicket three times before the scheduled start of play. Heavy rain in the Scottish capital on Saturday left areas of the outfield sodden, while there were also worries about the condition of the wicket.

FC continues relief operation in flood hit areas PDF Print E-mail
QUETTA, Aug 19 (APP):  Frontier Corps is devotedly continuing relief operation in flood- stricken areas of Balochistan.Over 1000 personnel of FC are busy  evacuating the marooned people to the safer places following the new flood torrent which has hit the Dera Allah Yar and Osta Mohammad.A relief camp has been established in Dhadar where 100 families have so far been registered whereas FC has made arrangements for 1000 families in the camp. The Flood victims are being provided with all basic facilities including food, medical and electricity in the camp. 
It merits mentioning here that FC has so far distributed 500 tons ration among the flood victim The FC professional teams of doctors are providing medical treatment to the hundreds of patients.
300 tents, 250 blankets, medicines worth millions of rupees and huge quantity of dry food have also been delivered. The field hospitals on the other hand striving hard to ensure provision of medical treatment to maximum patients. 
IG Frontier Corps Balochistan Maj Genera Salim Nawaz has also ordered the quarter concerned to speed up the relief activities in the flood battered areas.
