UN envoy voices concern over disruption of Easter procession by Israeli forces -
UNITED NATIONS, April 19 (APP): A senior United Nations envoy on Saturday said he was dismayed that a peaceful Easter procession led by Palestinian Christians through Jerusalem’s Old City was disrupted by Israeli security forces.

Pak-China universities ink students exchange agreement -
GUANGZHOU, Apr 18 (APP): National University of Modern Languages (NUML) Islamabad and China’s Guangdong University of Foreign Studies (GDUFS), Guangzhou, Friday concluded a Memorandum of Understanding on Academic Cooperation and a Student Exchange Agreement. The documents were signed by Maj Gen (Retd) Masood Hasan, Rector NUML and Prof. Zhong Weihe, President GDUFS. The initiative of the MoU and the agreement between the two Universities was launched and facilitated by the Consulate General of Pakistan in Guangzhou. Under the MoU on Academic Cooperation, the NUML would set up a NUML International Center of Education (NICE) on the premises of GDUFS. NUML will initially assign academicians/ instructors at the NICE for English and Urdu languages and subsequently extend it for other languages.

رئيس الوزراء الباكستاني: الشعب الباكستاني يقف متحداً وراء الجيش الباكستاني

قال رئيس الوزراء الباكستاني محمد نواز شريف بأن الشعب الباكستاني يقف وراء الجيش الباكستاني مضيفا بأن الحكومة رغم المشاكل الاقتصادي ستوفر كافة الموارد الممكنة لتعزيز الدفاع الوطني جاءت تصريحات رئيس الوزراء الباكستاني أثناء خطاب له لحفلة التخرج 129 لدى الأكادمية العسكرية الباكستانية في كاكول بإقليم خيبربختونخوا، أضاف محمد نواز شريف بأنه لا يمكن أن يستمر نظام دفاع ذات مصداقية دون اقتصاد وطيد وتعزيز الأمن والسلام والقضاء على الإرهاب وأكد شريف على ضرورة العمل المشترك لتحقيق هذه الأهدف، وهنأ رئيس الوزراء الباكستاني خريجي الكلية العسكرية على إكمال دوراتهم، وحث شريف خريجي الجدد العمل الجاد لخدمة الشعب والبلاد مشيراً إلى خدمات جليلة التي قدمها رئيس الأركان الجيش الباكستاني الجنرال راحيل شريف قال نواز شريف بأنه يجب على خريجي الجدد أن يضعوا في أذهانهم حياة وسلوك مثل الجنرال راحيل شريف الذي يعرف بإحترافية ووطنية وإخلاص والتزامه للبلاد، وحضر الحفلة كل من رئيس الأركان الجيش الباكستاني الجنرال راحيل شريف والوزراء الفيدراليين .
