Pak female swimmers win bronze in South Asian Games
ISLAMABAD, Feb 9 (APP): Pakistan Swimming Team (Female) won a bronze medal in 4x200 m Freestyle Relay in the South Asian Games at India. The team included swimmers Lianna Kiran, Bisma and Areeba, says a press release issued here.

Umar Akmal believes PSL help to perform in Int'l cricket
ISLAMABAD, Feb 9 (APP): Lahore Qalandars star batsman Umar Akmal believes that Pakistan Super League will help him perform well in the Twenty20 format. "PSL is a good step and we hope it will help us in international cricket," said Umar. Umar scored a blistering 93-run knock off just 40 balls against Quetta Gladiators.

WAPDA players shine in South Asian Games, clinch 3 gold, 5 silver medals
ISLAMABAD, Feb 9 (APP): The Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) players, who are representing Pakistan, continue to bring laurels for their country in the 12th South Asian Games, being played in India. WAPDA players so far have won 3 gold, 5 silver and 4 bronze medals for Pakistan in different games. According to the details, WAPDA player Nasir Iqbal won gold medal in squash (men's single) while Muhammad Inam and Zaman Anwar clinched gold medals in wrestling.

Hira, Saif Ullah win Peshawar District Badminton Women, Men singles titles

Muay Thai Association KP players showcase stunning skills

SECP starts 68 show cause proceedings PDF Print E-mail
ISLAMABAD, Feb 2 (APP): The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) has initiated 68 show cause proceedings against companies, their auditors and directors.
A statement issued by the Commission here Tuesday said that proceedings were initiated against various alleged violations of provisions of the 1984 Companies Ordinance. The violations include failure to comply with legal provisionsin respect of holding annual general meetings, filing of interim accounts, securities deposits and provident fund.
FBR collects Rs 209 bln to surpass Rs 205 bln target for Jan PDF Print E-mail
ISLAMABAD, Feb 1 (APP): During January, 2016, according to the provisional figures received so far, Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has made a net collection of around Rs. 209 billion as against Rs. 171 billion collected during January, 2015 showing an increase of 22%. The target for the month was fixed at Rs. 205 billion which has also been achieved,said a statement issued by FBR here Monday.

He stated this while attending the meeting in connection with Tenth Review under International Monetary Fund (IMF’s) Extended Fund Facility in Dubai today. According to a message received here from Dubai, Finance Minister, Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Monday attended the meetings being held in Dubai in connection with the  IMF’s Extended Fund Facility (EFF).
