KARACHI, Apr 23 (APP): Sharjeel Mehmood stunned former World Champion Muhammad Asif 4-1 to chalk out his third victory on the third day of 18th Karachi Club Open Challenge Snooker Tournament at KC’s Amir Bakhsh Billiards Hall on Wednesday.

KARACHI, Apr 23 (APP): A Dead Heat of three bridge players-Shakeel Chandna, Pak Day International Pairs Bridge winner, Shahab Khan and enthusiast Muhammad Rafique, all of them finished on top with a handsome score of 59.38 percent, Karachi Bridge Association (KBA) announced on Wednesday.

Listed companies allowed to hold meetings through videoconferencing PDF Print E-mail
ISLAMABAD, Apr 17 (APP): In order to facilitate shareholders and to ensure their participation in meetings, the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) has allowed listed companies to hold general meeting through video conferencing facility. “Listed companies can hold general meetings through videoconferencing  with a view to providing larger participation and lowering  attendance  costs for shareholders. The facility will allow shareholders residing at different locations to participate in meetings”, a statement of the Commission issued here on Thursday said.

ISLAMABAD, Apr 17 (APP): Pakistan and Saudi Arabia on Thursday agreed upon organizing mutual fairs, business and industrial exhibitions in both countries to exhibit each country’s products in the other. The agreement to this effect was made during the 10th Session of the Pakistani-Saudi Joint Commission which was held in Riyadh, said a statement issued by the Ministry of Commerce. Minister for Commerce, Engineer Khuram Dastgir Khan headed the Pakistani side while the Saudi side was headed by Minister for Commerce and Industry, Dr.Tawfiq Bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah.

He said Sarajevo Business Forum being held from May 14-15  provides a good platform to Pakistani entrepreneurs to meet with their counterparts and they should participate in that forum to explore  available business opportunities in Bosnia and through Bosnia into Europe.

ISLAMABAD, April 17 (APP): A delegation of Consortium comprising UBS, Dubai Islamic Bank and Nomura International called on Finance Minister Senator Ishaq Dar at the Finance Ministry here on Thursday and discussed matters relating to performance of national economy in the country. The minister on the occasion briefed the delegation on the upward trend of the economic indicators and the clear roadmap which the government has put in place for economic development of the country.  He said that the performance of Pakistan’s Eurobond reflects the confidence of the international investors in our financial market.
