ISLAMABAD, Dec 18 (APP): The Securities Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) has termed the memorandum of understanding (MOU) between Pakistan and China as a significant milestone in the development of the capital markets of both the countries.SECP Commissioner Tahir Mahmood said here Saturday that “The increasingly expanding securities markets today require cooperation among regulatory bodies of the capital markets at the international level for adequate protection of investor rights and the MOU is a step towards building a strong cooperative arrangement between the SECP and the CSRC”, .

MIRPUR (AJK), Dec 18 (APP): Elite class representing various sections of life, including political and business communities, have, on Saturday, welcomed the signing of nine agreements and four Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) between China and Pakistan during the ongoing visit of the Chinese Prime Minister Wen Jiabao. These quarters have described Chinese Premier visit, a land mark in the history of the country to bring both Islamabad and Beijing more closer to each other, besides strengthening the already closed brotherly and friendly relations between the two countries.

ISLAMABAD, Dec 18 (APP): Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani Saturday announced Rs 0.3 million for the custodian of graves of 500 Chinese, died in Pakistan during the construction work on Korakoram Highway.The Prime Minister made this announcement in an interaction with the people who contributed towards strengthening the friendship between Pakistan and China, at the inauguration of Pak-China Friendship Centre at Shakarparian.

ISLAMABAD, Dec 18 (APP) Beijing Torgren Hospital medical teams would operate 1000 cataract Pakistani patients free of charge to restore their vision. This was announced at the launching ceremony of ‘Pak-China Friendship Bringing Light-Tour’ held at Pak-China Friendship Center here Saturday.Han Demin, Chairman Chinese Medical Doctor Association Ear, Noise and Throat Branch, said that it is the initiative of Pak-China Friendship Association under which medical teams of hospital would operate 1000 patients during the next two years.
