Two trucks carrying relief goods dispatched to quake-affected areas PDF Print E-mail
KARACHI, Oct 9 (APP): The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has dispatched two more trucks with relief goods to the earthquake affected areas of Balochistan, on the directives of Sindh government. This was stated by the Director General of PDMA Sindh, Commander (Retd) Syed Salman Shah, here on Wednesday. He said that the two trucks carried 1,450 bags of rice, 550 bags of ‘Atta’ (flour) besides sugar, tea, 35 cartons of ghee, ration bags, packets of milk, clothes, mattresses, cartons of mineral water as well as other goods. Salman further pointed out that 43 tons of relief goods had already been dispatched. He said that on the directives of the Sindh government, the relief activities are continuing in the earthquake affected areas. In this hour of need, the Sindh government would extend every possible assistance to the quake affectees, it was further stated.
PSO initiates relief activities in Balochistan quake-hit areas PDF Print E-mail
ISLAMABAD, Oct 7 (APP): The public sector energy company-Pakistan State Oil (PSO) has initiated relief activities for the earthquake-affected people in Balochistan. As part of its CSR efforts, the company has worked to dispatch and distribute relief goods to meet the nutritional and shelter needs of the displaced families in the earthquake-affected areas. The PSO dispatched a relief convoy containing 25,000 mineral water bottles, 1200 ration bags, 1000 mosquito nets and 270 tents in the first phase of its relief efforts, says a press release. These items will be distributed amongst various relief camps in vicinity of Awaran and surrounding areas.
