Pakistan wheelchair cricket team prepares for international success
KARACHI, Nov 22 (APP): Denmark Ambassador to Islamabad Jesper Moller inaugurated the training camp for Pakistan's wheelchair cricket team here Saturday and said cricket was a sport which had made Pakistan proud in the past.

KARACHI, Nov 19 (APP): All-rounder Mohammad Hafeez is returning back home from where he shall proceed to Loughborough University, the latest  of ICC accredited facilities for testing on bowlers with suspect actions,  on November 23 for his appointment for tests on Nov 24, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced on Wednesday.

Pakistan-US talks on ties may resume after parliamentary debate: Munter PDF Print E-mail
LARKANA, Jan 31 (APP):  US Ambassador to Pakistan Cameron Munter on Tuesday expressed the hope that talks will begin between the two countries on normalisation of ties, after discussion by Pakistan’s Parliament on bilateral relations. He was talking to media-men at Mohenjodaro, some 28 kms from here, after visiting the site of famous 5,000-years-old  Indus Valley Civilization. Ambassador  Cameron Munter  said the attack on Salala checkposts was a terrible tragedy and the United States will ensure that such incidents do not take place again. He said the attack was not pre-planned.

Ambassador Jamil Ahmed Khan pays condolence call on Pir Pagara PDF Print E-mail
SUKKUR, Jan 31 (APP): Pakistan’s Ambassador to UAE Jamil Ahmed Khan paid a condolence call on Pir Sahib Pagara at his ancestral hometown and offered prayer for the departed soul of the spiritual head of the Hurs who died recently in a London hospital. Ambassador Khan also praised the commitment of the Hurs to Pakistan and recalled the brevity the clan exhibited under the spiritual leadership of the Pirs during the two wars, right through the inception of Pakistan. Ambassador Khan also conveyed the heartfelt condolences from many  Emaratis concerned, having deep sense of respect for the departed Pir Pagara and his elevated spiritual stature.

Ambassador meets Saudi Minister of Defence PDF Print E-mail
RIYADH, Jan 31 (APP): Ambassador of Pakistan to Saudi Arabia Muhammad Naeem Khan called on Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Defence of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on Tuesday in his office. The Ambassador conveyed felicitations and greetings of the Minister of Defence of Pakistan to Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz which he warmly reciprocated. During the meeting, the matters relating to bilateral defence cooperation of the two countries were discussed. Both sides expressed satisfaction over the existing level of cooperation in this field.  They agreed that both countries must explore means to further enhance and deepen this relationship for the mutual benefit of the two countries.
