ISLAMABAD, Jan 31 (APP):A 28-member team of under training information officers currently getting training at Information Service Academy on Tuesday paid a study tour of Radio Pakistan.The team visited various sections of Radio Pakistan including General Newsroom, Monitoring Wing, studios, FM-101 and Planet FM-94.
The visiting under-training information officers were given briefing on the working of the organization by senior officers of concerned department.The group showed keen interest in various sections of Radio Pakistan and also participated in live broadcast of Planet 94, the English language channel of the organization.

KARACHI, Jan. 31 (APP)- Legendary cricketers and former Pakistan cricket captains paid glowing tributes to former Test cricketer and Chief Selector Salahauddin Ahmed at the launch of his book titled “Sallu - An Autobiography held at a local hotel here on Tuesday evening.Four former Captains including Little Master Hanif Muhammad, Saeed Anwar, Rashid Latif and Moin Khan complimented Salahuddin for his dedication for the fair and merited selection in the national team.Hanif Muhammad described Sallu as the hard-working cricketer and that was why he recommended his name for the selection in PIA team in 1964. He lauded his contribution in promotion of national cricket.

ISLAMABAD, Jan 31 (APP)- Islamabad and Lahore will be facing each other in the final of Pakistan Blind Cricket Council (PBCC) Twenty-20 Trophy to be played here at F-9 Park.In the 1st semi-final, Lahore beat AJK by 10 runs here at F-9 Park. Put into bat, Lahore set a massive total of 324 runs on the board for the loss of 4 wickets in allotted 20 overs. M Arslan Javed was the leading scorer with unbeaten 164 runs while M Fayaz made 94 runs. Arfan and Idrees shared a wicket each.In reply, AJK managed to score 314 runs by losing 5 wickets in allotted 20 overs. Arfan Majeed remain unbeaten with 184* runs. M Shahbaz and Abdul Razzaq shared a wicket each. Man of the Match was M Arslan Javed (Lahore).
