Federal Govt contract lecturers demand regularization PDF Print E-mail

ISLAMABAD, Aug 29, (APP): The contract teachers and lecturers of Federal Government have demanded their regularization as promised in the manifesto of Pakistan Peoples Party.
Contract Action Committee of Lecturers Association President
Muhammad Iftikhar on Sunday appealed the Prime Minister Syed Yusuf
Raza Gilani, Minister of Religious Affairs and Chairman of NA Cabinet Committee
Syed Khurshid Shah and Secretary Establishment, Secretary Capital Administration and Development Division (CADD) to take necessary action against the approval of ‘unofficial and unlawful regularisation’.
He said that the Committee had approved the regularisation of all contract and daily wages employees, who have been serving for the last one year. The cases of 243 contract lecturers, 198 daily wage employees and 163 junior lady teachers (JLTs) were sent to Establishment Division for formal approval.
Bypassing the CADD, a Joint Educational Advisor (JAE) had sent 287 nomination of favorites which is not justified, he added.
He said 243 contract lecturers, working against sanctioned
posts for so many years and 198 daily wages lecturers and 163
junior lady teachers fear lay-off at this stage as CADD has
regularized the names mentioned in the list of 287, approved
by Cabinet Committee.
He said it is an unofficial step of CADD to deprive contract lecturers and teachers of their jobs. “Now we all contract lecturers and teachers of the federal government and model colleges and schools demand justice,” he added.
